I struck ye board, & cryd, No more.I Struck the board, and cry’d, No more.
       I will abroad.  I will abroad.
What shall I euer sigh & pine?What? ſhall I ever ſigh and pine?
My lines & life are free: free as ye roadMy lines and life are free; free as the rode,
Loose as ye wind, as large as store.Looſe as the winde, as large as ſtore.
   Shall I be still in suit?Shall I be ſtill in ſuit?
Haue I no haruest but a thorneHave I no harveſt but a thorn
To lett mee blood & not restore,To let me bloud, and not reſtore

What I haue lost with cordiall fruit?What I have loſt with cordiall fruit?
       Sure there was wine
Before my sighs did dry it. there was corneBefore my ſighs did drie it: there was corn
  Before my teares did drowne it.Before my tears did drown it.
Is the yeare onely lost to mee?Is the yeare onely loſt to me?
  Haue I no bayes to crowne it?Have I no bayes to crown it?
No flowres, no garlands gay? all blasted?No flowers, no garlands gay ? all blaſted?
          All wasted?All waſted?
Not so my heart: but there is fruit,Not ſo, my heart: but there is fruit,
        And thou hast hands.And thou haſt hands.
Recouer all thy sigh-blowne ageRecover all thy ſigh-blown age
On double pleasures. Leaue thy cold disputeOn double pleaſures: leave thy cold diſpute
Of what is fitt, & not. forsake thy cage,Of what is fit, and not forſake thy cage,
        Thy rope of sands,Thy rope of ſands,
Wch petty thoughts haue made, & made to theeWhich pettie thoughts have made, and made to thee
Good cable to enforce & draw,Good cable, to enforce and draw,

While thou didst wink & wouldst not see.While thou didſt wink and wouldſt not ſee.
