Hunt Award |
Keriann Oertell is this year's winner of the Lucian Hunt Award which recognizes academic achievement, undergraduate research and commitment to the chemical profession. Keriann performed undergraduate research on synthesis of boron containing compounds under the direction of Dr. Tom Getman. In the fall she will be starting a Ph.D program in chemistry at the University of Southern California

Outstanding Senior |
Danielle Pellow is this year's outstanding senior. The award recognizes academic achievement by a Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Water Science major. Danielle made the Dean's list every semester while at NMU and will graduate Summa Cum Laude in May. In the fall, Danielle will be starting medical school at Wayne State University. |

Alchemist Award |
This year's winners of the Alchemist award are Kyle VanDamme and Amanda Moraska. Amanda is a Biology major with a Physiology emphasis and Kyle is Biochemistry major. This award recognizes achievement in Organic Chemistry

|
Analytical Award |
Chelsea Selin, a biochemistry major, received the award as the top performer in Analytical Chemistry during the 2005-2006 academic year. In addition to a plaque, she will be receiving a subscription to Analytical Chemistry, a journal of the American Chemical Society.

|
General Chemistry Award |
Kelsey Keskitalo won the award for outstanding performance in general chemistry this academic year. Kelsey is an English major with a Chemistry minor. In addition to a plaque, she will receive a copy of the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.
